Community Relations Unit

The Community Relations Unit acts as a liaison between the department and the Tustin community by educating residents on crime prevention, teaching lessons in elementary schools, and coordinating department events for all to enjoy.

About

The Community Resources Unit is overseen by City Operations Division Lieutenant. Within the unit are the following specialty assignments: Community Relations, Homeless Liaison Officer, and Community Impact Officer.

North Area Contact: PSO Jennifer Jones

South Area Contact: PSO Zhanna Ismailova

The Community Relations Unit originated in the 1980s to plan community events, educate residents on crime prevention, and work with elementary schools to bring lessons to classrooms. Today, two full-time PSOs, Jennifer Jones and Zhanna Ismailova, work to bring the community together during the department’s annual Open House, Block Captain meetings, Neighborhood Watch meetings, Santa Cop and numerous other events.
