The Gang Reduction And Directed Enforcement (G.R.A.D.E.) Unit was created on February 19, 2018. G.R.A.D.E. is part of the Special Operations Command and currently consists of two Sergeants, two Detectives, and six Officers. The G.R.A.D.E. unit works in cooperation with the General Investigations, Patrol, and other law enforcement agencies throughout Orange County.

G.R.A.D.E.’s mission is to reduce gang crime throughout the city and conduct proactive enforcement in areas identified as “hot spots.”
