TPOA is an association composed of sworn Tustin Police patrol officers. TPSSA is composed of civilian Tustin Police support staff.


The Tustin Police Officers Association (TPOA) was established in 1972 with the goal of representing our members in employer/employee relations, providing legal representation and providing additional benefits such as life insurance, legal defense, and living trust preparation.  We have since expanded our goals to include a great deal of community and charity work.  As such, In January 2016, we formed a 501(c)(3) non- profit  organization called TPOAcares.

The Tustin Police Support Services Association (TPSSA) was formed in March 1997 in order to represent civilian employees due to the diverse nature of the duties performed by those employed at the police department. In recognition of the special circumstances of hours and job descriptions, the City of Tustin recognized TPSSA as a separate unit from the existing general unit in September 1998.

TPSSA is made up of the following support services staff:

  • Police Records Specialists
  • Communications Officers
  • Property and Evidence Specialists
  • Crime Analyst
  • Fleet Coordinator
